Clay Lindsay, a 49-year-old bachelor, and I had been married six months when my 11-year-old sister, Pamela Haley Bruce, took this photo over 50 years ago.
This 426-page book contains 49 stand-alone chapters of Texas and WWII history plus personal stories of lives well lived.
"Good Times" chronicles six generations of an extraordinary Texas family. It includes stories of longhorns, cattle drives, cowboys, Indians, inlaws, outlaws, good times and bad times.
You can purchase a copy at the Lindsay Ranch or at the Chamber of Commerce in Mason, Texas.
"Good Times" is also available on Amazon.
Reviews
"I found fascinating stories of famous people and places in Texas. The personal section telling of their marriage and Clay and Deloris' life together, is a beautiful story of love and mutual respect. A must-read for every Texan, and all those who want to be!"
Jo Counts
" If you ever stayed at the Cabin on Comanche Creek or Mason Mountain Manor & had that personal contact with Clay & Dee Lindsay, you owe it to yourself to get this book. Thank you, Clay, for the good times."

HOW TO CHOOSE WHERE YOU WANT TO STAY?
The Cabin on Comanche Creek is closer to Mason and U.S. 87. You can drive to the Cabin and to Comanche Creek in a car.
Mason Mountain Manor is 2 1/2 miles from the highway in the middle of our 700-acre back pasture.
If you stay at the Manor, there are some rough roads so a pick-up or vehicle with more ground clearance is recommended.
There are outside cats that are fed on the porch. If you are allergic to cats or if you don't like cats, don't stay at the Manor.

Mason is a Dark Sky County. Bring your binoculars and telescope.
